Cancer Epidemiology is a priority of the Veneto Public Health Care system.

Since January 1st 2014 to December 2015, all incident cancer-cases occurring in the whole resident population of the Veneto Region (4,900,000 inhabitants) have been included in the official records of the Veneto Cancer Registry (VCR).

Since January 1st 2019, the VCR publishes the cancer incidence data with a latency time of no more than 3 years.
